Debabrata Pal

Debabrata is a renouned Visual Storyteller, Canvas Dancer, Handloom Designer, and Odissi Dancer who has been recognised as one of the 50 Top Young Artistes of India.

He collaborates with musicians, dancers and other artists to live paint his interpretation of their performances and styles.

He has performed internationally on various occasions and with a number of recognised Indian Classical Musicians and Dancers.

He has had the priviledge to share a stage with Padma Vibhushan Guru Sonal Manshing-ji, Padma Vibhushan Guru Birju Maharaj-ji, Padmashree Smt. Hema Malini-ji, Padmashree Guru Ileana Chirtist-ji , Padmashree Dr. Pt. Puru Dadheech-ji, Guru Sujata Mohapatra-ji, Sandip Soparrkar-ji, Sunita Bhuyan-ji, Padmashree Kailash Kher-ji, and many other renowned artists.

He has performed on many stages across India, and has presented his talk regarding "Fine art in Natyasastra" at various universities and institutions across India, USA, London.

He is currently learning Odissi under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Jhelum Paranjape in Smitalay, Mumbai.

He is working with Sangeet Natak Akademi winner Dr. Sandhya Purecha-ji for her upcoming book on Natyasatra Volume 2.

Recent Performance

Debabrata recently participated in the most prestigious Konark Dance Festival, 2020.

About his experience he says,
